Technical Writing:

  • A complete technical report detailing the standards and company culture at Three Clicks, an AI consulting firm at which I was employed from 2023 to 2024. It served as my final paper in the University of Washington’s ENGL 384 Technical Writing course, taught by Professor Josephine Walwema. Read here.

  • A newsletter website I designed and maintained during my employment at Three Clicks. On the website, I wrote and published weekly articles covering the development of an advanced “App Crawler” that could autonomously screen and evaluate apps for malicious content.   • A series of blogs that I composed for the startup wedding photo company GuestSnap. These blogs served as the starting point for potential customers, providing straightforward instructions for getting started as well as advice on various related topics. Read here.

  • A series of informational blogs I composed for AppEsteem, a Seattle-based cybersecurity startup. These blogs were aimed at helping everyday Internet users better protect themselves on the Internet. Topics included instructions on how to avoid deceptive applications, how to recognize dishonest online advertising, and updates to AppEsteem’s projects. Read here.

Critical Analysis:

  • An examination of Confucian philosophy, particularly as it manifests in 20th-century Chinese literature and film. Composed as my final paper for the University of Washington’s ENGL 297 (Chinese Literature) course. Read here.

  • An analysis of how Biblical allegory, particularly the story of Cain and Abel, arise within the titular Bruce Springsteen song. Focuses on exploring themes of generational trauma, regret, and the nature of sin. Composed as the final paper for the University of Washington’s ENGL 310 (The Bible as Literature) course. Journalism:

  • A research paper exploring Seattle’s modern punk scene circa 2019. Data was gathered by conducting field interviews with local punks and what the subculture meant to them, their own experiences, and their thoughts on the scene overall. This paper was written partly as an academic pursuit, and partly as an expression of my own enduring love for the community. Read here.
